Woojin Nam, Dougherty Valley High School alumni, is an enthusiastic cellist and chamber music performer. Starting in 2013, she has been awarded with numerous awards, such as the winner of the Peninsula Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition, an honorable mention in the American String Teachers Association Competition, 1st place in the regional division of the VOCE string competition, 1st place winner of the Pacific Musical Society competition, and 1st place winner and Judges Distinction Award from the American Protege international Strings Competition. She was invited to perform at multiple prestigious sites such as the Kohl Mansion, Channel 24, a local television show featuring musicians around the Bay Area, and the Weil Hall of Carnegie Hall in New York. Along with her solo performance career, as part of the Cal Music Prep Academy, her chamber piano trio reached the top 5 groups in the Coltman National Chamber Competition along with other competitions.
