Joseph Kim (Clarinetist)

Joseph Kim is a Dougherty Valley High School alumni. He began playing the piano at age six and began playing the clarinet at age eight. In eighth grade, Joseph was the principal clarinetist at Gale Ranch Middle School Band. He is also the principal clarinetist for the Gradus ad Parnassum Orchestra. Joseph has won the Los Angeles City Elementary School Music Scholarship as well as entry into the All-Northern Honor Band and the All-State Honor Band. Joseph was a second-degree Taekwondo blackbelt and a double-black-diamond skier. He also loves to play basketball in his free time.
