Lauren Kim (Violinist)
Member from 2016 - 2021
Lauren Kim is a Dougherty Valley High School alumni. She has played the violin for 11 years under three different teachers. She was most recently under the guidance of Jennifer Ju-Yi Peng. She was a member of the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra for a year and was the concert master for that group in her freshman year. She is also in the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. Lauren has also participated in the Crowden Music School's summer chamber program. She loves to see the smiles on children's faces when they are happy and hopes to spread such positivity through her involvement with Symphonics.
